For those of you considering doing the same it's in the perfect midway point, with plenty to do on the island for an overnighter and beautiful surroundings. Dani was so helpful, came to meet up and give us a full tour and was super helpful and flexible with us throughout our communication. The akiya is wonderfully renovated, with helpful notes around the house to ensure a comfortable stay. The only worry I had before our stay was countryside spiders and other creepy crawlies, but Dani has kept the place spotless so we did not need to worry! Wish we could have stayed longer - thank you again!

The air-conditioning was a welcome surprise in the hot and humid weather. Dani provided recommendations on local activities and places to eat including great restaurants within walking distance. The local area is very peaceful and an easy stroll to the sea. The sunset was beautiful too. Highly recommended!

  we waren al in de grote steden en op het platteland tijdens onze reis, maar op Benton Homestead kwamen we echt even tot stilstand..de lome warmte die binnen heel... read more goed te doen was wegens koekje kamers maar buiten voor prachtig landschap zorgde en heerlijke stranden om af te koelen. Het huisje zelf is zo'n mooi eerbetoon aan de cultuur en architectuur en Evan en Dani hebben er een monument van gemaakt dat toch van alle gemakken is voorzien. Altos weer even terug waren in onze kindertijd naar dan met de luxe van nu. wauw, heel veel dank gaat we even bij jullie mochten blijven!

  昭和の古き良き「おばあちゃんの家」といった感じの日本家屋ですが、室内は必要なリフォームがされており、清潔でした。家の周りは静かで自然環境もよく、リラックスして広々と滞在することができました。

また、ホストのダニさんとエバンさんはとても親切で、周辺のおすすめスポットなども教えてくれ、総じて安心して滞在できました。大三島に来たらぜひまた泊まりたい、思い出の場所です。
